Ossian has completed an extensive programme of surveys and assessments to better understand the environmental conditions of the offshore site. The programme of work included aerial surveys of marine mammals, site specific and regional ornithological surveys, benthic surveys, as well as geophysical and geotechnical investigations.  The output of this work is a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), which has now been submitted to the Scottish Government, as part of the consent application for the offshore array.

Members of the public, statutory consultees, and stakeholders are invited to review additional environmental information submitted as part of the ongoing Array consent application process.

This supplementary information supports the original Array consent application submitted to Scottish Ministers in June 2024. It includes further detail on ornithology and physical processes, following feedback from key consultees.

The project continues to engage with a wide range of regulatory and industry stakeholders to ensure a robust and informed application.

The statutory consultation on this supplementary information is live and will run until 2 December 2025.

Copies of the applications, together with a copy of the additional information are available to view in the libraries below and via this link.
